Mission Our mission is to support and promote existing and new businesses on Tierra Verde, and businesses off Tierra Verde owned or managed by Tierra Verde residents. Our vision is to promote Tierra Verde as an island known for its business appreciation and community spirit where people work and live together for a mutually positive result both economically and socially. The name of the organization shall be Tierra Verde Business Partnership Article II — Mission Statement and Vision: Mission: To support and promote existing and new businesses on Tierra Verde, and businesses off Tierra Verde owned or managed by Tierra Verde residents. Vision: Tierra Verde is an island known for its business appreciation and community spirit where people work and live together for a mutually positive result both economically and socially. Tierra Verde based businesses and Tierra Verde residents who own or manage businesses off Tierra Verde are eligible for Full Membership status upon receipt of payment in full of the annual membership dues. Eligible to have a free business listing in the annual Tierra Verde Membership Directory and Resource Guide; A free business listing on the TVBP website; A free business listing in TVBP sponsored inserts placed in local publications periodically; Additionally, Full Members will be provided an opportunity to place a paid advertisement in the annual Tierra Verde Membership Directory and Resource Guide. In keeping with the best interest of the TVBP and its mission statement, no more than 30% of the Board may be Tierra Verde residents who own or manage a business off the island of Tierra Verde and no more than 10% of the Board may be Volunteer Members. All Board members have the right to vote at board meetings. Vacancies occurring during a term shall be filled by appointment of the President and confirmed by a simple majority vote of Board members in attendance at the Board meeting the appointment is announced. If the vacancy is that of the President, the office shall be assumed by the Vice President. Periodically, the Board shall review the Organization’s By-laws and revise and update to ensure the By-laws remain relevant and provide an appropriate framework for decision making and accurate representation of Member benefits. The Treasurers shall work with the Membership Directors in collecting membership dues and help with keeping track of submitted dues. The Communication Director shall work with the Community Event Support Leaders to help communicate the events in all appropriate venues such as local newspapers and community email groups. Each event committee is responsible for communication of event dates and times to the TVBP community event board members at least 6 months in advance of event. The board members will then be responsible for working with the downtown businesses and property managers for authorization of use of the downtown area for the event. is one of the most unique programs offered to Eckerd students. A portion of the proceeds from the 2017 Tierra Verde Business Partnership Classic Car Show has been awarded to EC-SAR – the nation’s only collegiate volunteer maritime search and rescue team. Outstanding Tierra Verde Business of the Year They were one of the original supporters of TVBP and have been a member of the orginization from the beginning. Noemy Gonzlez and her staff have participated in nearly all of our events with their personal support and booth presence with fun giveaways. And they have supported our local businesses and community associations with loan assistance and convenience of banking. We are pleased to award Jerry Frulio TVBP Person of the Year. is the owner of Island Produce in downtown Tierra Verde and has been an unofficial ambassador and all-around cheerleader for all the Tierra Verde businesses, social organizations, and residents on the island. Over the years he has generously donated food to charity events and delivered his delicious soups and other recipes to residents who are under the weather. He tells everyone about the TVBP events and introduces new residents to the Island Chapel, the Women’s Club, and other organizations. Not to mention he helps his neighboring businesses by taking out their trash and at night bringing them food when they get so busy they can’t leave their desks. joined the TVBP board of directors three years ago as the media director and immediately set to work revamping the TVBP web site and enhancing of the production values of the annual directory mailed to Tierra Verde and Isla del Sol owners and residents. which, as the name implies, provides a holiday party to children with cancer and their families complete with presents, food, drinks, entertainment, dancing, games and even a visit from Santa Claus. But Randall (Randy) Ierna wouldn’t want the credit to all go to his leadership. Being a local historian, Randy would want you to know the background of the note-worthy office. This business, originally named Century 21 Spinning Wheel, was established in 1980. This office merged with Century 21 Coast to Coast in 2009, following a 2001 merger with Century 21 Sunshine. So there’s been some changes. But Randy and his fellow realtors, now numbering 39, have always been keen on helping Tierra Verde. The community activities and support include the latest: Oktoberfest, Auto Show and Christmas Tree Lighting, sponsoring and volunteering for Tierra Verde Business Partnership whenever needed.
