We are the structural designer for the world’s tallest building, the 1,000-m+ Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia, and for six of the world’s 10 tallest buildings completed or under construction. We are software-neutral: We work in any modeling program and write custom translators. We prefer to make the model the final deliverable. Our firm comprises ten integrated practices: Structural Engineering, Forensics, Renewal, Façade Engineering, Property Loss Consulting, Construction Engineering, Sustainability, Weidlinger Protective Design, Weidlinger Applied Science and Weidlinger Transportation. Our Weidlinger Transportation practice provided below-grade engineering, soil-structure analysis and support of excavation services for a new 620,000-square-foot research building in Boston. We are providing structural engineering services for a multiple-building expansion of the former National D-Day Museum in New Orleans, including a floating fabric canopy that unifies the individual elements with a large-scale, recognizable image for the museum. At 1,020 tons it is one of the heaviest residential buildings ever moved in the United States.
