Thomas Marine Construction is a full service bridge and structural constructor. Each of the division’s crews is led by a superintendent with a range of experience from 10 to 30 years. The company’s employees include project managers, engineers, carpenters, equipment operators, laborers, mechanical support, accounting staff, and an EEO officer. Many of our people have been employed by the company for 10-25 years. Thomas Marine Construction owns all the equipment (many shown in photos on this site) needed to construct the work for which it is prequalified. The list of equipment on our job sites every day including: track and truck friction cranes, pile hammers, sheet pile hammers, bridge deck screed machines, excavators, a long stick excavator, a demolition hammer, front end loaders, compaction equipment, specialized steel and modular forms, sectional barges, trucks, welders, and generators. Even when projects are not design build, Thomas Marine's "whole project approach" enables the company to foresee permitting and design challenges in the planning stage, thus avoiding costly changes once construction is underway. On many of the projects Thomas Marine has constructed, the company's involvement and assistance began at the concept phase and worked all the way through final construction. The company is run by civil engineers and as such has been successful at many design build projects and other nontraditional contracting methodologies. Thomas Marine Construction provides public and commercial bridges and other civil structures and solutions to municipalities and developers throughout Southwest Florida including Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples and Bonita Springs.
