We would like to welcome you to Cross Creek!   The Yearling Restaurant was first opened in 1952, just down the road from Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings' home in Cross Creek,Florida.  The restau The Yearling Restaurant is located on CR325 in Cross Creek, just 14 miles from Gainesville and 25 miles from Ocala.  The mile long creek connects Orange Lake and  and Lochloosa Lake .  Both lakes are known for great fishing.  Wildlife abounds around the area.  CR 325 has been named a Florida Scenic Highway.
