After a four year Navy tour, I served a two year apprenticeship in a custom wood shop. My mentor, tom Roche, his brother Michael and father Jack were instrumental in instilling in me the need for quality products and workmanship. In 1986, I went independent and established the Shipwright Shop: specializing in boat carpentry. Working as an independent, on-site, shipwright at Gulf Marine Ways providing marine carpentry for many yachts and commercial vessels. In November 1996, The Shipwright Shop was incorporated, and moved to it’s current location. Centrally located in Fort Myers, this is an ideal location to serve, primarily, but not limited to Lee, Charlotte and Collier Counties. to our business. With our Mavic Pro 4K, we can now photograph or videotape your vessel or help with other maritime projects. A certified, insured pilot is on board!
