What Others Say About The Right Training As long as I can remember I have had an intense fear of firearms. If I held one with a bullet in the chamber I would have a severe anxiety attack. Being so afraid of guns bothered me terribly since my husband is an avid shooter and there are guns in my home. Paul McIntyre was recommended to me to help with my problem. I scheduled a private lesson because of my embarrassment and not knowing how long it would take me to pull the trigger at the range, if I could do it at all. “Mac” was amazing. He spent a lot of time in the classroom making me as comfortable and knowledgeable as he could about the task ahead. His experience and style of teaching were wonderful. When we finally got to the range, I think it was there that he really understood the extent of my fear. I think I had played it down some. When he realized how difficult it was going to be, he never lost his patience and was very encouraging. When I finally shot the gun he was so wonderful about being happy for my success, yet never stopped stressing for a moment the importance of the safety steps and never taking for granted that the gun was empty. There aren’t enough words in my vocabulary to describe what an awesome teacher he truly is. At first I was a little intimidated by his size and police background, but it didn’t take me long, in spite of what he wants people to believe, that he’s a big sweet teddy bear with a heart to match. I now know a number of other people who have taken classes from him and have had only high praise. I hope this letter helps you understand how much his teaching skills are appreciated.
