OUR MISSION The mission of all of us at The Place is to become disciples of Jesus, intimately in love with God; and expressing His love in creative service, witness and fellowship. The Place is a community of believers who are devoted to Jesus Christ and to one another. We are growing together into maturity as followers of Jesus. We are striving to express His love creatively in all we do – whether in worship together, in witness to our community, and in fellowship with one another. Our vision is to be a place where God is magnified and people are committed to growing together in their relationships with Jesus. Our Adventist schools are known for their high expectations; the vast majority of students who are educated in the K-12 system of Southern California Adventist schools complete twelfth grade with achievement scores in the 90th percentile and above, receive college or university degrees, enter service-oriented professions. The greatest evidence may be, however, that we provide our children an Adventist education once we become parents ourselves. Ben and Jenny Tinnin are beginning a Young Families ministry aimed at families with young children.  There will be a potluck this Sabbath April 7th at the Tinnin home (900 Marion St. in N.P. phone #310-775-7470).  If you have or will have young children in the near future, please join the fun!  Baked potatoes will be provided, please bring something to add. Join young adults like you from the Southern California Conference in sharing the gospel to the people of South Africa through the spoken word. Never preached before? No problem. All that’s required is your willingness. We’ll supply the sermons, and your personal coach will be there to help you along the way. Afterwards, enjoy two-and-a-half days of fun and adventure as we experience the sights and sounds of the beautiful country of South Africa. Cost: $3,500(originally) but NOW  $1,999 with SCC., Pacific Union, & ShareHim help Your help is needed for Sabbath School classes-PLEASE consider being a VOLUNTEER Equipping our children to love and serve the Lord is perhaps  the most important ministry in the church.  We are in need of volunteer Sabbath School teachers .  Will you prayerfully consider serving on a regular basis in either cradle roll, kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade, 3-5th, and/or Jr. High.  We are so grateful to all of the individuals who have already stepped up...we couldn't offer this ministry without you!   We invite you to SERVE!
