The Oasis of Life is a registered charity set up by Freda Lewis. She is first and foremost a Christian, a retired infant teacher living in Norfolk. With the help of family, Freda has established this charity to alleviate the despair and despondency of children living in IDP (Internally Displaced People) Camps in Northern Uganda. Steve Puleh has been helping with the charity for a long while – he has close family ties with Lira, and hopes to open a Malaria testing laboratory there one day. His help has been invaluable many times, and he can always be counted on to offer sound advice and practical help. The clinic is really taking shape now, thank you to everyone who has made a donation. The building itself is complete and now the challenge of fitting it out with equipment begins.
