Peter Casella Peter A. Casella, PhD, has a diverse professional background as an educator, award-winning journalist, and writer. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism at Syracuse University, his master’s degree in teaching at Jacksonville University, and his PhD in mass communication at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Dr. Casella has studied brain-based learning and Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, giving him insight into discovering how students best learn. A well-rounded educator, his strengths include helping students improve reading comprehension and writing, and developing effective learning strategies. Michael Diamond has been with The Learning Specialists since 2017 and currently serves as a high school math teacher in Duval County Public Schools. Prior to his current role, he spent five years in higher education. Diamond holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and a bachelors in mathematics with a specialization in statistics. He also serves as an adjunct instructor of developmental mathematics at Florida State College at Jacksonville and adjunct instructor of management at Jacksonville University. Diamond hails from the Chicagoland suburbs and resides with his wife Rachael, son Ethan, their two cats and dog. Ginger Hodge has been with The Learning Specialists since 2014. She received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from University of North Florida in 1996 and her bachelors from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1990. Hodge was a teacher for eight years and has taught language arts, science, and psychology at the Sanctuary on 8 Susan Talley is a reading specialist that has been working for The Learning Specialists since 2001. Susan enjoys working with children, and strives to relate to them and a way they can understand and enjoy. Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Education from William Carey University in 1987, and her Master of Education from the University of Oklahoma in 2000. The Learning Specialists, Inc., is an educational service developed by Edward C. Taylor, Ph.D., Child and Adolescent Psychologist. We work with two types of students – those who need to remediate learning difficulties and students who wish to enhance their academic performance. Our teachers provide intervention and support to struggling learners. The objectives are to
