The Islamorada Foundation is a public charity, non profit organization with IRS code 501(c)(3) tax exemption. We are driven to provide the community of Islamorada with enhancements to our village parks, recreation and green space, while preserving the community’s character. With confidence, all of your contributions will be returned to the advancements of our projects within the community. Founded in June 2010, The Islamorada Foundation is a grass roots organization created to make positive steps in the island community of Islamorada, Florida. In staying true to our mission, our full intent is to garner your support to make Islamorada a beautiful, healthy place to visit or call home. Our volunteer board of directors are all residents, business owners, propery owners or all of the the above … we have a vested interest in the future of our community and are confident The Islamorada Foundation will be the community leader as we progress forward. Our success hinges on your support, we recognize the diversity of what makes up Islamorada, to include the visitation seasonality and how it directly impacts the pulse of the community. Our ambitions, goals and focus will consider views from both residents and businesses as well as how it effects our tourism base. We anticipate receiving financial and volunteer support from all walks of life, that at any time, make up the community of Islamorada. Whether you are a life long resident, property owner here seasonally, new to the area or a visitor on vacation, the foundation’s mission will impact each or you in different ways, we would greatfully cherish your support. He developed a passion for construction while building his first home in the Village of Islamorada when he was 22. Since 2010 he has worked in Islamorada in the Family construction business. “As a builder, I understand that there is more to making a home desirable than just beautiful details and waterfront views; it’s the neighborhood, the people, and the community that surround it. The Islamorada Foundation’s mission to enhance the parks and greenspace in our community is a vital component in preserving that desired way of life here in Islamorada. J.C. dedicated 4 years serving on the Village of Islamorada Near Shore Water Citizens Advisory Committee and currently serves as a representative on the Village of Islamorada Parks and Recreation Citizens Advisory Committee. Since 2003 David has worked full time in Islamorada and feels he understands what makes Islamorada unique. “I think you have to treat the Islamorada community like a family. This island is unique not only because of how beautiful the environment is, but also because of the people.
