Steve’s professional career spans 25 years in high impact, strategic, and progressive executive leadership roles within multinational businesses.  Specifically, these businesses include Thule North America (global leader in automotive load carrying systems for bikes, skis, and sports gear), Black & Decker (power tools, consumer products, and industrial products) Xerox Corporation (copiers, electronic printing systems), and SC Johnson (floor care, household consumer products). These companies have provided Steve with extensive expertise within the consumer products manufacturing environment as well as a highly successful track record for achieving both top and bottom line growth. Steve is currently an independent financial consultant engaging in providing CFO support for high growth companies as well as a trainer and FINANCE COACH.    He is also currently marketing an innovative (and fun!) training and productivity tool which teaches finance and money skills to non-financial people.  This tool is called Profitopoly! ™ (www.profitopoly.com) and it combines dynamic learning exercises with team-based game play. During the 11 years Steve served at Thule, the company achieved a tremendous growth rate in sales and operating profits. The company's success led to its award of "Swedish-American Company of the Year". Steve directed all due diligence efforts for five Thule acquisitions.  He also enabled growth in manufacturing, R&D, and marketing as he established standard cost and management accounting systems along with detailed models to assure profitable new product and capacity investment proposals. Steve served as project manager for Thule’s company-wide conversion to an Oracle-based ERP system.  Following this conversion, Steve led a company-wide initiative which reduced inventories and outstanding accounts receivable while improving accounts payable management, resulting in a 40% reduction in operating working capital over a 2-year period. © 2010-2011 The Huff Group, LLC.
