About The Docs to Call As licensed physicians we recognize the devotion it takes to reach the med school interview stage, and what the impact of an acceptance, waitlist, or denial letter would be. The Docs to Call have been there and we have felt the pressure. We know what it takes to make it, and for that reason, are in a unique position to help. In partnering with presentation coaches, The Docs to Call have developed a preparation program that is specific to today’s med school interview, and designed to accentuate the personal strengths of each med school candidate through a personalized curriculum that is conducted in a one-on-one format. Licensed in North America and with medical expertise varying from surgery to emergency medicine, our doctors understand your aspirations and career goals. Experience in navigating the medical interview process comes not only from having successfully done it, but also from years of medical practice and advancing in our profession to chair panels, conduct interviews, and help shape new generations of med students, interns and residents. Years of academia in institutes such as Cornell University, University of Western Ontario, Saba University, and McGill University, etc. underline, for our doctors, the importance of helping prospective med students achieve their goal of higher learning. Having worked across North America in marketing and advertising industries, our coaches are experts in communications, message strategy and presentation techniques. With client portfolios stretching across the United States and Canada, our coaches have acquired and maintained fruitful business relationships for employers such as Us Weekly and Rolling Stone Magazine, as well as international advertising agencies like DDB on Madison Avenue in New York. The understanding of people and positioning is synonymous across all industry, and our coaches are here to improve your performance within the medical field by imparting their knowledge upon you. Learn how you are being read during the med school interview, and shape their marketing savvy into your competitive edge. After having completed our medical school preparation course, the option for additional one-on-one time with your partnered coach and/or doctor is still available. Perhaps you want to have a personalized discussion prior to an interview, or need to touch base between med school interviews – whatever the case, we are here to help. Purchasable by hour increments. You will be asked to provide a copy of your personal statement, as well as a list of the medical schools you will be interviewing at.These documents will be reviewed by our team prior to meeting with you. The Docs to Call will connect you with a licensed physician and a presentation coach. Meeting invitations will be sent to you via your provided email address. Meetings will be scheduled in the following order: Self-Presentation; Mock-Interview part one; Mock-Interview part two; and Reflection. NOTE: The Docs to Call operate in Eastern Standard Time Zone. Should you need to decline any of the meeting invitations, please communicate with The Docs to Call’s admin team to find an alternative time slot. The Docs to Call will provide tips on how to prepare for and make the most of, each of the one-on-one meetings that make up your medical school interview preparation course. Educational discussion will be had surrounding your areas of weakness. Upon requirement, you will be provided with exercises to take away and practice prior to your med school interview. You will also be provided with techniques and tips that you can employ during the interview to improve your performance. Ultimately, the result of your work with your partnered coach will be a strengthened sense of confidence and an increased performance ability which will better prepare you for your medical school interview. After the Reflection meeting, should you want additional time with your partnered doctor and/or marketing professional, that option is available to you. Whether you want a personal refresher right before your med school interview; or would like more mock-interview practice; or just wish to touch base in between multiples interviews, we are here to help and additional time is available to you. Using the Docs to Call was a great addition to my admissions prep! After getting so far in my studies at the University of Florida and sitting through the MCAT, I really did not want to make a misstep on the final part of my journey to medical school. Following that interview with a one-on-one session to refine your presentation with a physician wraps everything up into the perfect package for interview day. I recommend this program to anyone in the medical school interview process. The Docs to Call helped me perform my best during my medical school interviews. For my Self-Presentation meeting, I worked with Jennifer who was very professional and knowledgeable about promoting yourself in order to get into the medical program you want. She quickly responded to my emails, always answering my questions. The mock interviews were incredibly helpful. The Docs to Call looked at the entire interview process and worked with me to overcome my specific weaknesses through a series of exercises personally catered to me. I could already see an improvement after just one session. I was thrilled with the results and I got into the program I wanted!
