Why We're Needed , to their great credit, are able to provide a free breakfast plus a healthy lunch through the program during the week. For some students, though, lunch on Friday is the last regular meal they will receive until the following Monday. provides weekend meals and fights childhood hunger and malnutrition during the school year. Teachers and school administrators, those on the front line of caring for our children while they are away from their parents during the week, know firsthand of the weekend hunger problem. The teachers know as they wave goodbye on Fridays which students will not have proper nutrition over the weekend. They know which students will arrive Monday morning ill-prepared to learn properly. His business background and success is combined with community involvement and charitable work. – Summit oversees the daily functions of Southeast Petro’s wholesale and retail businesses.  Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Tulane University combined with being a father of two young children, Summit brings the educational, business and parental knowledge needed to help our kids. Alice has been a powerful fixture in local charities (nominated for Volunteer of the Year and Women in Excellence Award from the Melbourne Chamber) plus serving on the boards of three local charities.  Alice brings a strong business and organizational background to help our kids. – Cynthia comes to us with a civic-duty background of founding and helping to run a successful south Florida Charity that supported our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  With her strong business management during her career, Cynthia coordinates all aspects of our operation. – David is Senior Vice President of the industry's premier wealth management firm and provides us with advice in the area of finance and business.  With a daughter and son, he still finds time to participate in numerous community and charitable organizations. Eva is the Director of Community Management for The Viera Company, and has the integral leadership role of maintaining good community relations with residents.  She volunteers her time and energy to several charitable organizations.  Eva is committed to ending child hunger and child homelessness in Brevard County because she believes it is within our power and ability to do so. Geo is a national award-winning public relations and marketing professional with over 20 years’ experience in both public and private sectors, who founded Ropert and Partners, a public relations and marketing firm that provides services based on client needs. Geo helps organizations with communication strategies, to increase revenue, and raise awareness and resources for important causes and initiatives. Geo is a board member the Government Affairs Committee - Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Brevard Advisory Committee for Eckerd. Geo previously served on the board of LEAD Brevard and was chairman of the Florida Coalition for Children’s statewide Communication Workgroup. Javier is a loving father that brings experience as publisher of Al Dia Today, the bi-lingual newspaper.  He has organized Hispanic/American medical and business groups.  As a leader in the Hispanic community, Javier understands the problem of children being hungry on weekends. – A retired businessman, JY is involved with a number of charitable endeavors and is a co-founder of The Children's Hunger Project. Jeff served in the USAF for over 25 years and is now a Vice President of a National Small Business as well as CEO of his own company. Having graduated from our nation’s “free lunch program” and witnessing children all over the world go hungry, Jeff has a deep and personal passion for “seeing a hungry child and feeding a hungry child” Lorraine has been in advertising with several print medium in our community for a quarter century.  With her business and personal contacts, Lorraine has been a key element in helping us expand.  The hungry kids of Brevard County are already benefiting from her expertise. Rachel is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and proud Hurricane. She currently practices as a Civil Defense Trial Lawyer with a prominent defense firm. Rachel is involved in several charitable organizations, including the Junior League of South Brevard. She brings her legal acumen, love for helping others, and commitment to her community to The Children's Hunger Project. – Sallyanne is currently a volunteer for The Children's Hunger Project and the Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce. As a religious educator to grammar school age children with Ascension Catholic, she sees first-hand the impact that we as adults have on the lives of local children, including those who need our assistance. She also acted as Ambassador for the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce, volunteered with Serene Harbor, and is also active in Real Estate with Sun Coast. We are fortunate to have this active volunteer on our team. Sean's company, Sequoia Consulting, provides the website for us.  As a father and business owner, Sean is active in the religious and civic arenas, with all benefiting from his expertise.  Our web presence is his gift to our kids. – Stephanie, as a career businesswoman with prior experience in sales and the Chamber of Commerce, is involved with numerous charities in Brevard County.  Stephanie brings her passion for the disadvantaged, especially young kids, to our organization. Supplemental feeding programs can help to offset threats posed to the child's capacity to learn and perform in school which result from inadequate nutrient intake. 7. The Children's Hunger Project provides kid-friendly food for hungry children on Fridays during the school year that is ________ Donations to The Children's Hunger Project at the event will support our mission of feeding hungry children in Brevard.
