Who We Are The Chappell Group, Inc. (TCG) is a certified WBE/CDBE/SBE firm that covers the specialized fields of wetlands delineation, marina and wetland permitting, marina design, wetland mitigation, and monitoring; threatened and endangered species surveys and habitat management plans; environmental impact assessments; Phase I environmental site assessments; benthic surveys; and all forms of environmental permitting and compliance for Federal, State, and local agencies. In this regard, In 2005, Mrs. Chappell founded The Chappell Group, Inc. as a women-owned, environmental consulting firm serving the South Florida area. Mrs. Chappell’s responsibilities include oversight of all corporate operations, staff management, proposal development, presentations as well as performing wetland jurisdictional determinations, environmental feasibility studies, Phase IESA’s, seagrass surveys, gopher tortoise surveys, environmental permitting, mitigation design, and mitigation monitoring. Mrs. Chappell has prepared environmental monitoring reports, conducted wetlands assessments, Phase I ESA’s and has experience in many types of environmental permitting, including residential docks, marinas and coastal development. Mr. Chappell is a second generation native Floridian from Fort Lauderdale and has over twenty years of experience in the environmental consulting field. Mr. Chappell received a bachelors degree in Environmental Science from Texas Christian University and was Director of Environmental Services for eight years for a large engineering firm in Fort Lauderdale before forming The Chappell Group, Inc. in 2005. As Vice President of The Chappell Group, Inc., Mr. Chappell is the principal project manager for the company and oversees all company operations. Mr. Chappell is an active community supporter and serves on various service boards in the State of Florida and spends his limited free time playing golf and fishing in the Florida Keys. Ms. Bongarzone was born and raised just south of Boston, Massachusetts, and received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Averett University. Ms Bongarzone began her career teaching marine science to students and staff at the Newfound Harbor Marine Institute on Big Pine Key, Florida before joining The Chappell Group in 2014. She is passionate about exploring the unique environment that South Florida has to offer, enjoys fishing, diving, hiking and horseback riding. Ms. Bongarzone’s responsibilities include performing wetland jurisdictional determinations, environmental permitting, and mitigation monitoring. The Chappell Group Inc.
