The Bruery is a boutique craft brewery located in Orange County, CA specializing in barrel aged and experimental ales. Founded as a small, friend & family run business in 2008, The Bruery takes it’s unique moniker from founder Patrick Rue’s family surname. Patrick picked up homebrewing as a hobby, later to become an obsession, as a distraction to the banality of law school. Soon he was winning numerous awards for his beers and driving his wife, Rachel, mad with the messes that he would leave on the kitchen stove. Upon finishing school, he took it upon himself to draw up a business plan rather than study for the California Bar exam – a risky endeavor that shows through still today in the creative, genre-tilting beers that The Bruery prides itself on. The Bruery is founded on the excitement that Patrick felt in those first years of homebrewing and we continue to strive for that same passion in every aspect of our business today. We never stop challenging ourselves to develop distinctive & imaginative beers, constantly pursuing improvement in all that we do. We brew dozens of original beers each year with our list of ingredients and inspirations growing perpetually. Our collection of oak barrels has also become a primary element of our brewery. Nearly half of our beer is aged in wine or spirit barrels bringing forth flavors reminiscent of the Belgian countryside or classic American distillers. We greatly value our customers as well as our employees at The Bruery and want to give them all an impassioned way to spend their time while sharing a beer worth talking about. The Bruery Store at Union Market The Bruery Reserve Society is a collection of our biggest supporters and fans of independent craft beer. In addition to the beer and merchandise included with a Reserve Society membership, members enjoy access to dozens of our most limited and exclusive releases, with a 15% discount on all beer and merchandise purchases via TheBrueryStore.com, offshootbeer.com, at our Tasting Rooms in CA and The Bruery Store at Union Market in Washington, D.C. A membership also includes access to special events and taps in CA and DC, plus climate-controlled storage for all purchases from TheBrueryStore.com through February 28 of the following year, available for pickup in CA or DC (members select at signup). Beer allocations vary depending on production levels; however, our Reserve Society members are typically extended the opportunity to purchase anywhere from one to 12 of our beers as they go on sale throughout the year. The Hoarders Society is an exclusive club of our most passionate fanatics. These members enjoy first and full access to beers from The Bruery and Bruery Terreux – including exclusive Hoarders Society beers, plus larger discounts and other exclusive privileges. Membership is by special invitation only. You must be 21 years or older to be in our Societies. All 2017 pickup purchases take place in Placentia, California, thus CA (Placentia area) sales tax will be applied to all orders. All shipping orders will be taxed at the shipping address rate. Recipients of beer shipped within California must be at least 21 years old and must be available to sign for their beer deliveries and verify their age. We are not able to ship outside of California. If you are outside of California, please designate a trustee within California who is over 21 years of age to pick-up or receive shipment of your beers. The Bruery is not responsible for or issue refunds for any beer released to a trustee.
