. Jack trained as a Buddhist Monk and holds a Ph.D in Psychology, specializing in Buddhist Psychology and meditation practice. He is one of the key people responsible in bringing Mindfulness meditation practice to the west. Upon reading his book, A Path With Heart, I was taken by his definition of a Bodhisattava. That definition is, " a being committed to the path of awakening." This definition resonates deeply in my soul. As a minister, as a person in recovery, as a man with courageous compassion to make the world a better place, I claimed the name Bodhi to remind me of my mission, vision and purpose in the world. Doing this did not make me a Buddhist. It did give me a greater definition to my life's purpose. I have also discovered that I am an integrationist, and per my Unity training I take the best from the world's spiritual, psychological and self-help tradition and integrate them into my life while teaching them to others.
I understand that we are all spiritual being having a human experience. Therefore, the work is to integrate our spirituality into our humanity: becoming fully awake and present to the gifts of this life in this lifetime.
I am committed to awakening and helping others do the same. Awakening happens as we heal our addictions, wounds, traumas and challenges; and uncover and rediscover our true nature. I believe that life brings us our challenges to help us look at the areas where we need to grow. Instead of denying, repressing or ignoring our challenges, we become willing to dive deeper into them to find the gold in the shadows.
Commit to awakening! Be willing to answer the longing of your heart to heal, transform and awaken. Reclaim your life and live your highest purpose now. Be who you were created to be and let me help you. Together we will step into the sunlight of the spirit and experience happiness, meaning, wholeness and satisfaction like never before.
: Live every moment with a new consciousness, affirming and knowing that all things are working for your highest and best.
For those who have sobriety, I offer tools and support to help deepen ones sobriety and spirituality in order to live life more fully.
Knowing first hand the devastating affects of addiction on the family I also offer support to loved ones of addicts and alcoholics helping them create healthy boundaries and other strategies to support the healing of the addict and restoring a happy home.
Practicing meditation for over 25 years, I help others discover a personal practice that works for the individual while giving detailed instruction and support in helping one establish a regular meditation practice.
Helping good men become better men!
