My Grandpa Paul Block Sr. and my Dad Paul Block Jr. Live in Capac, MI where they started our business in the 1970’s.WE are the Original designers and Manufacturers of this style sharpener. My Dad and Granddad had sold lots of their sharpeners to loco meat packing plants, Butcher houses, and the Detroit Eastern Market, Gun and Knife shows, car shows, sport shows, and flea markets in Michigan.In 1988 Grandpa and Dad had added our Family’s last name Block as a Trademark and had name stamped in the sharpeners handle, just like Case and Buck and any other PROUD American Made Business owner do. Now the Block Sharpener Business is ran by My Wife Billie Jo and I Paul Block III. I had worked with my Dad and Grandpa as young man Demoing our sharpeners for extra money on the weekends. In 2004 Grandpa Past .My Wife and I took our Grand pa sharpeners to Florida on our family vacation to make a little extra money to help pay for our trip. We had ended up in the Orlando Gun and Knife show, In 2 days we had sold out selling over 400 sharpeners, So we had more sharpeners shipped down from Michigan and ended up staying here in the Beautiful Sunshine State. Since 2004 My Wife and I been going around the Country pitching and selling our sharpeners, Every weekend We attend different sports shows and gun shows giving us the chance of meeting lots of famous people and making lots of new friends on our travels. At our shows we demonstrate how our sharpener works and all the different types of knives and tools that we are able to sharpen. I Paul Block III have sharpened easily over 1.000’s of different style knives and tools for free,Just to prove that our sharpener really does work and they are the Best.My Wife and I had been to 18 different states and over 130 different Cities where sport shows are held. Now our Sharpener are recognized worldwide thanks to Youtube’ and word of mouth. Over the Years i had come to realize the we do make the Best sharpener by far. The only problem for some people was the flat slippery handle, The Original Sharpener was made to be bolted down or pressed down firmly. So I saved for a new mold to be made. My Wife and I knew what we could do to make the Best Sharpener, Even Better. So I worked on the Unique flex in the Sharpener handle. With different angles and the pressure points that allows the pins to flex,I changed the sharpening rods from a course to a finer rod, I had felt the new changes would be better than the Original Sharpener making it easier and faster to get your knife razor sharp. My Wife Billie Jo Block added the Incredible New Safety features, such as adding new over shot of soft rubber over the hard sharpener handle makes it stick to any surface great, Making our sharpener safer to use on the table, kitchen counter, tailgate, wood stump or even on the side of your boat With our new patented Grip and thumb guide gives you great control when sharpening outdoor tools or when you may not have a flat surface to work off .
