It takes a team of dedicated volunteers to make sure we our reaching out to as many people as possible. The Blessing Bags Project is fortunate to have some of the best dedicating their time, energy, and expertise to our cause and we are grateful! MISSION, VISION, VALUE The Blessing Bags Project Inc. is a group of volunteers dedicated to our local homeless and less fortunate by providing hygiene products, food, clothing, and loving them just as they are. Children receive special hand sewn bags including toys, snacks, and a Beanie Baby to hug. 2016 was a year of great accomplishments.  We became a non-profit with a 501 (c) 3 status, held our first fundraiser, and provided a "Magical Christmas Party" and gifts for 67 homeless children and their families. By volunteering for The Blessing Bags Project I have seen first hand how we have changed lives in our community.  Living on the Riverwalk is eye opening and seeing people carrying our bags is humbling. The Blessing Bags Project has changed my life. I have built relationships with so many awesome people. Both homeless as well as volunteers and am truly blessed! It began with one woman making us hand sewn bags to put children's items in. Then we began receiving donations of Beanie Babies. Thanks to our posts on Facebook, people from all over the country began making bags and children's quilts for us. Schools, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, churches, and families all have participated in this project by collecting items an making their own kid's bags. Children are learning at a very young age how important it is to reach out into our community. We want to hear from you! The Blessing Bags Project welcomes your thoughts, ideas, and questions.
