Who We Are We opened The Belgian Monk with a simple concept in mind-- to provide a unique selection of craft and import beer and to create an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming to all! A place where the conversations flow freely while enjoying great beer and European inspired food. My interest in beer stems from my time spent in Leuven, Belgium where I attended graduate school. Apart from receiving a degree in Philosophy, my real education came from the experiences I had in the bars and cafes that were found throughout the city. The other part of my education dealt with the food that was offered throughout the city. One could find delicious food made with fresh ingredients that were affordable even on a philosophy student’s budget. We offer small plates that are great for sharing, as well as classic dishes like Doner Kebaps, Belgian style Frites (French fries) and of course the famous Belgian Waffle!
