The American College of Financial Services offers educational lecture opportunities multiple times a year. Through the generosity of partnering with insurance companies and friends and associates of The College, we are able to provide the best type of lecture series available in the financial services industry. These well-attended lectures include industry-leading speakers who deliver insightful and thought-provoking discussions on current industry issues. By contributing to the overall mission of The College, our lecture series provides a wonderful opportunity to gain knowledge and insight from some of the best minds in the industry. Mr. Deppe has dedicated his career to pension and retirement plans and is a nationally known authority on the subject. This lecture series bearing his name is devoted to pensions and retirement security issues. The series is supported by earnings from an endowment fund established at The American College of Financial Services by Mr. Deppe's friends and associates, as well as the Guardian Life Insurance Company. The endowment fund will continue to increase in the future from the proceeds of a life insurance policy of which The College is beneficiary. This fund will make possible the establishment of a chair at The College for research and teaching in pensions and retirement security. Mr. Deppe presented the first lecture in the series on life insurance in qualified retirement plans in 1989. Subsequent presenters have included attorney Andrew J. Fair, a nationally known expert on pensions, business planning, and estate planning, Bruce J. Temkin, a nationally recognized authority on the design of qualified retirement plans and retirement planning, Joyce Gordon of Guardian Life Insurance Company, and numerous other presenters and panelists prominent in the estate and financial planning fields. Through the joint effort of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and The American College of Financial Services, the Maurice L. The American College of Financial Services is accredited by: The Middle States Commission on Higher Education The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation activities for institutions of higher education in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, including distance education and correspondence education programs offered at those institutions. MSCHE is also recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) to accredit degree-granting institutions which offer one or more post-secondary educational programs of at least one academic year in length.
