Teach Me To Freedive was originally created to offer the F.I.I. Freediving Core and Specialty courses, as well as, to separate liability and manage the logistics at Florida Freedivers. The increasing popularity and demand for training prompted the necessity to build a structured and repeatable model in order to maintain the high standards and quality. Systems such as our instructor proctoring program, digital student filing system, leadership management and measurable standards have allowed Teach Me To Freedive to continue to grow the high quality and reputable courses alongside the increasing popularity. Matthew Pasa and Jonathan Dickinson are the owners of Teach Me To Freedive. Matt and Jon are both active F.I.I. Freediving Instructors with a passion of freediving and teaching. The business expertise and love for the industry continually drives the success of Teach Me To Freedive. My brother and I took our Level 2 Freediver course with Jonathan Dickinson during the 2/18 weekend. Our experience with Jonathan and Teach Me to Freedive was nothing short of incredible. Jonathan was extremely educated, patient, and friendly. He did an excellent job of making everyone feel comfortable which allowed for deeper learning and thought provoking questions. Additionally, my brother and I come from a varied level of experience and Jonathan did a great job motivating both of us without slowing down the class. Jonathan also prioritized everyone's safety above all else. I am very much looking forward to taking other courses such as Spearfishing with Jonathan and would recommend him to anyone with any skill level. I would also like to mention our assistant instructor Matt Pasa would did a phenomenal job at keeping us motivated and safe throughout the entire course. Matt Pasa was an awesome instructor and helped me hit my max potential even when I was a little un-easy at first. I would recommend this course and especially Matt to anyone and everyone. Thanks again for an awesome experience! Matthew is very knowledgeable, patient, and positive. He is passionate about freediving and his enthusiasm makes the class fun with zero pressure. The benefits of this class are enormous. Whether you are trying to spearfish deeper or slow your heart rate during stressful events, Matthew will provide perfect instruction. I am happy I took this class and looking forward to learning more about freediving and more great experiences at Florida Freedivers. Rodman is an asset to F.I.I. I Would Highly Recommend F.I.I. Continue Education. The course was done very informative and professional. Class was easy to follow and understand. Pool time puts it all together and best for OJT On Job Training ! The last day on the Ocean Open Water Rescue Skills, Buddy Supervision and Self Evaluation was the Cherry On Top ! Rodman Thank You For All Your Time Help and Efforts !!! He was a wonderful instructor. I really enjoyed his presentation of the material both in the class and in the water. He has been diving a long time and obviously has a passion for the sport. His enthusiasm comes through when he is teaching and everyone seemed to want to learn from him. Matt Pasa did a great job helping him as well. Looking forward to Level 2 My instructor was amazing! Our class consisted of both experienced and inexperienced free divers and he did an awesome job keeping everyone on the same pace and making everyone feel as comfortable as possible. He was extremely encouraging and very calming. I was struggling with the depths on the last day of my test and I do not think I would have passed with out Matt! He was very confidant in us and strongly encouraged me to finish the test. I am so thankful for his teaching abilities and instructor skills! Over all I had an excellent experience taking the FII level 1 course through Florida Freedivers, their amazing staff, and one of their awesome instructors.
