Ingrid has a degree from UC Berkeley in Mathematics, and a Masters in Education from Holy Names University. I have over 14 years of teaching, tutoring and helping with test preparation. I help students develop long term study skills to handle academic content. In particular, I can help them to gain the skills they need to decipher the text, improve test taking practices, and reinforce study habits and preparation. My background in mathematics helps me to tune into the concepts and skills they will need for the test, but my academic coaching will also help them to learn how to utilize organization and study skills to help them to catch up and get ahead.. Just recently, I was able to use these techniques to help an AP Statistics student make improvements to her studying in all her classes, and achieve a 100% on her presentation – for which she was deeply fearful. I help students who have fallen behind to catch up. I help students make improvements on their tests. I help students make advancements beyond their own curriculum. To do this, I work with the frame work of the best curriculum in Common Core, Singapore Math, AOPS, and MathCounts.
