Tamayo Engineering is also serving on the General CEI Consultant Team for Miami-Dade Expressway Authority in the administration of multiple County-wide projects and on the MDX CBE Miscellaneous CEI Contract. Tamayo Engineering also provided Transportation Construction Quality Control Services to So. Florida contractors. Tamayo Engineering has provided Construction Project Management services to Construct Group Corporation, a local South Florida contractor which specializes in concrete work.  The projects included bridge reconstruction, flatwork and an airport fuel vault.  Tamayo Engineering also completed a contract to provide Maintenance of Traffic Plans for American Petroleum in Miami-Dade County. The personal experience of Tamayo Engineering’s Managing Member, Enrique J. Tamayo, P.E., includes construction and design project management of numerous roadway and bridge construction projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).  Mr. Tamayo is a graduate of the FDOT’s Professional Engineer Training Program and worked as a Structural Design Engineer and Construction Area Manager for the FDOT.  With the FDOT Structures Design Office, Mr. Tamayo was directly responsible for the project management and preparation of design plans and calculations for projects which included the I-75 Rest Area Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Walls, I-95 Noise Abatement Walls, SR 714 over Florida’s Turnpike MSE and temporary sheet pile walls, SR 715 Bridge Replacement and multiple Mast Arm, Sign Structures and Lighting structures and foundations.  With FDOT’s Ft. Lauderdale Construction Office, Mr. Tamayo was responsible for the oversight of over $60 million of roadway and bridge construction projects in Broward County. Mr. Tamayo left the FDOT in 2002 to take a position with a local consultant engineering firm where he served in multiple capacities to include Operations Director, Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Manager and Senior Project Engineer.  As Operations Director and CEI Manager, Mr. Tamayo was responsible for marketing, meeting with government officials, consultant and contractor personnel for future work opportunities, preparation of Letters of Interest, Technical Proposals, oral presentations, qualification documentation, etc.  He was also responsible for personnel decisions, policy development and implementation, organizational structure, short-term and long-term corporate planning and implementation.
