Who is Tallahassee Speech Center? Tallahassee Speech Center | Mary Pellegrino & Associates is owned and operated by Our staff includes licensed, certified speech-language pathologists and licensed speech-language pathology assistants. All of our staff members are individually licensed by the State of Florida. A fully certified speech-language pathologist has earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in speech-language pathology, completed a 9 month residency/fellowship program, completed hundreds of clock hours of therapy and passed a national board exam prior to being awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association. Speech-language pathology assistants have completed a Bachelor’s program in speech-language pathology and met the requirements for licensure by the State of Florida. All evaluations are performed by fully licensed and certified speech-language pathologists with subsequent treatment being provided by the certified speech pathologist or speech pathology assistant under the direct supervision of the certified speech pathologist. What Services Do We Provide? We provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for all types of communication disorders. We treat . Programs are designed to meet each individual’s needs. Diagnostic evaluations are completed and recommendations formulated based on individual communication abilities and difficulties. Counseling is provided on the prevention, nature and management of communication disorders, as well as speech and language considerations in vocational and educational placement. Resources and referrals are provided, as appropriate. Closed circuit video monitoring is available for parent/caregiver training. Where Do We Provide Services?
