Most recently, he founded Synapse Ventures to work with growing companies on debt strategy and placement. Previously, he was President & co-CEO of Interactive Metronome, a privately held manufacturer of medical devices sold to hospitals and clinics worldwide where he grew the business from inception to more than 2,000 customer sites offering treatment. Prior to that, Mr. Swanson was VP of Sales and Marketing for Momentix, a venture-backed Internet company providing marketing and communication infrastructure for the publishing and conference industries. Before joining Momentix, Mr. Swanson was VP of Sales and Marketing for Mediconsult.com where he participated in taking public this Internet company focused on healthcare information for physicians and patients. Mr. Swanson spent four years as a strategy consultant to Fortune 500 companies while a Senior Principal at Treacy & Company. At Treacy & Company, Mr. Swanson also worked on direct investments into platform companies, completing 5 investments during 1998.
