Company at a Glance SYLLA International is a well-established 25-year old international firm located in Tampa, Florida. Originally founded by Cheikh T. and Cynette D. Sylla as Urban Form in 1989, the firm has successfully evolved to provide a range of design and planning services to many clients in North America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Our projects have received many awards and been published in several periodicals. This success is largely in part due to our bold vision and endurance to overcome challenges. Mr. Sylla has an extensive experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the application of computer technology to the integrated project delivery process. In the last 18 years, he has completed many projects in BIM and has trained many architects in this new technology. He also serves as a BIM consultant, assisting firms implement a BIM workflow and protocol in their practice. For him, it is not solely about the love of technology, but how the BIM technology can help firms be more efficient, collaborate better, improve quality control and assurance, be profitable, and leave clients happy. If you have secured a large infrastructure contract requiring you to use BIM to do the work, Mr. Sylla, with his 28 years of architectural experience and 18 years of BIM-related experience, is the one to talk to for help in implementing BIM, get the work done, and meet the client’s BIM project requirements. Mr. Sylla is available to travel anywhere in the world to assist firms in their BIM project needs. Cynette has over 38 years of experience in the fields of both interior design and architecture, although interior design is her main area of professional activities. By working with both clients and contractors, Cynette has developed extensive experience designing interiors of various building types. As the head of the Interior Design Department, she oversees space planning, selection of all interior finishes, materials, colors, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, lighting fixtures, cabinetry, and artwork. Cynette also ensures the quality of our work and finished products by remaining involved in the project during the construction of our projects. Mr. Guerino has been an architect for over 40 years, working in architectural and architectural engineering firms in Washington, D.C., Oregon, Massachusetts, and Florida. He has been responsible for the design, coordination, and construction administration of projects using a variety of construction types and for a variety of building uses, including residential, multi-family housing, industrial, commercial, and educational. For the past seven years, he has been with SYLLA serving as project architect on 4 large projects. In that capacity, he has overseen the design and construction documents of each project. He has extensive experience with State and national building codes.
