Our Mission Our mission is to provide an open, enjoyable dance environment for all of South Florida based in Fort Lauderdale, FL in which to learn vernacular jazz dances such as East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Balboa. We aim to provide high-quality instruction in and information about these historical American dances to preserve them for future generations, as well as to provide a fun, social, and athletic activity for the current generation. Then come join our volunteer SWAT team made up of only the most super, awesome and hot swing dancers. You’ll learn all about how a dance is run – plus, you get free admission to every dance you volunteer at. Rishona is a talented dancer and professional artist who specializes in making Swing Out South Florida’s parties into an extravaganza. She also coordinates bands, and organizes social outings. She is also responsible for sending out Swing Out South Florida’s weekly email blasts.
