is a nonprofit program for free thinking elders who continue to share independence of spirit and involvement in the world. Our mission is to create a sense of community and a caring supportive environment. We are dedicated to creating and maintaining opportunities for educational, cultural and political participation by Sunset Hall members in the larger society. Sunset Hall is a membership organization. Its community members, supporters and volunteers share in its governance. We strive to be a model of multi-ethnic and intergenerational life for our members and our community. Mission Sunset Hall builds support for elders of diverse communities who share independence of spirit and involvement in the world, with the goal of achieving and maintaining social connections, learning and activism throughout life. Sunset Hall’s vision is to be a dynamic force to create a world in which elders have social connection, physical activity, intellectual stimulation, respect for their experience, and active engagement in the affairs of the world.  Sunset Hall’s vision is that these elements will promote dignity, wellness and quality of life; will be achieved with community collaboration; and will become a new cultural standard. Sunset Hall is historically an independent organization with roots in Unitarianism and progressive movements. We value our structure as a nonprofit, membership-based organization, integrated into the diverse communities of Los Angeles.  Sunset Hall models its values through its programs and management.   Sunset Hall is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization
