SUNRISE SCHOOL OF MIAMI, INC., PALMETTO BAY

With 26 years of industry experience, Storm is considered to be a subject matter expert in water for pharmaceutical purposes including all USP requirements and the cGMP manufacturing process regulated by the FDA. Storm has solid "hands-on" experience from the processing floor to the board room working for companies such as Imclone Systems, Protein Design Labs, Wyeth Biopharma and Goodwin Biotechnology. He has worked in preclinical through commercial scale in various leadership roles from bench scale to 20K liters. In March 2008, the same month that his daughter Carly was born, Storm founded Storm Biotechnolgy and has worked as a consultant on a varity of projects for clients such as City of Hope Hospital, Archer Pharmaceuticals and KRS Global Biotechnology. Born in New Jersey, as a young boy Storm loved to "play factory" and has always dreamed of starting his own water business. Storm is a skilled carpenter who builds wood boats and household furniture, and he also loves fishing and crabbing in the waters of Big Pine Key, FL. Jen brings a diverse range of business talents to Hydro Biotechnology with 24 years of experience working for 2 multinational corporations GlaxoSmithKline and PR Newswire. She is a graduate of Florida International University with a degree in Public Relations and also played Division 1 golf on a full scholarship. At PR Newswire she was promoted 7 times in 14 years starting in an entry-level editor position and progressing through various sales and management roles to ultimately serve the company in the role as Director, Southeast Region. In 2005 Jen made the decision to "re-invent" herself in a new industry working as a pharma sales rep with responsibility for a small local territory, which allowed her to build a life in Fort Lauderdale with Storm Lefelar and to start a family in 2008 with the birth of their daughter Carly. Jen currently works as a hospital/health systems account manager in GSK's vaccines division, but her most cherished title is that of "Carly's Mom." Jen (and Carly) can often be found multi-tasking at Starbucks with a skinny vanilla latte in one hand and the latest model iPhone in the other. Waldorf schools provide a detailed, richly artistic curriculum that responds to and enhances the child's developmental phases, from early childhood through high school. A true educational alternative in the greater South Florida community, Sunrise School of Miami believes that education should nurture children to become individuals, whole in body, intellect and spirit, prepared to meet the challenging road ahead. Sunrise School of Miami offers a program rich in academics, integrated arts, and engaging specialty subjects combined in a multidisciplinary, inspired curriculum that enable students not simply to learn, but to fully experience and internalize what they learn – providing education from within. Students emerge from Sunrise School of Miami prepared, aware of their own capabilities, enthusiastic, and fully engaged in the world in which they live. We invite you to plan a visit to our school for an upcoming Window into Waldorf tour, community event and for a personal admissions appointment.
