Founded in November 2001, Sundance Orchids & Bromeliads has grown into a premier retail nursery specializing in orchids and bromeliads. Located within the beautiful Briarcliff community of south Fort Myers, FL, the facility occupies nearly five acres featuring nine modern greenhouses dedicated to high-quality plant cultivation. With a footprint expanding from 9,000 square feet across three greenhouses with 3,000 plants to an impressive 70,000-square-foot space housing over 25,000 orchids and 20,000 bromeliads, Sundance has become the largest retail orchid nursery in the area. Offering a wide array of hybrid and species orchids continuously blooming throughout the year, the nursery also features a diverse selection of bromeliads adaptable to various landscape types. Unique attractions include rare and hard-to-find tillandsias (airplants), which are creatively displayed on Florida and North Carolina driftwood as well as imported Mopani wood. Sundance Orchids & Bromeliads provides not only retail sales but also wholesale services for commercial landscapers. The nursery supports customers with a ‘Summer Camp for Orchids’, repotting classes, a variety of plant supplies, and expert advice from experienced horticulturists. Educational talks are often offered free of charge to community organizations, showcasing the expertise found at Sundance. The landscaped grounds serve as an integrated demonstration area to show how orchids and bromeliads can complement landscapes with varying sun tolerance requirements. Deliveries within the Fort Myers area are available for convenience.
