Thirty-five years ago, Chris began working as a part-time teacher at Suncoast Academy. She is now the owner of the center. Although she still spends plenty of time in the classroom teaching the pre-kindergarten class, she says the best part of her job is fostering a love of education in her students. Chris’ childcare certifications include: 40 Hour Child Care Training, Florida Child Care Professional, Child Care Director, as well as Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. Suncoast Academy is currently working on the Quality Counts for Kids program which helps centers go above and beyond Hillsborough County Child Care Licensing standards.
