The SunCentral Z Club is for all Datsun/Nissan Z car enthusiasts. Members typically own or appreciate Z cars from 1970 240 Z’s to the new 2015 370Z. The Club is a not-for-profit organization formed to provide its members with access to knowledge about their Z Cars and also provide a forum for members and other interested parties to exchange Z Car information. As with many volunteer associations or clubs, it seems like 10% of its members contribute 90% of the time and effort to make sure the Club provides enjoyable and educational experiences for the entire membership. Those volunteers work tirelessly not only to create, plan and manage events, but they also do all the “behind the scenes” administrative tasks (processing membership applications and renewals, updating the website and Facebook, communicating to members about upcoming events, etc.). Combining the efforts and strengths of both clubs not only results in cost savings, but allows us to more efficiently manage a healthy and growing Z Club population! No, your 2013 dues automatically make you a member of the new SunCentral Z Club. Membership renewals for 2014 are due in January to the SunCentral Z Club. There are no rules about when and where Z enthusiasts get together! The Club’s new Board of Directors will decide on meeting schedules and locations. Due to the large geography encompassed by the Club, the meetings may be less formal or less frequent than in the past. But we are looking forward to exploring different parts of Florida, perhaps as a cruise-in or meet-up at a local restaurant or other venue. If you have a Facebook account, you’ll want to “Like” our new Club page so that you are sure to get last minute updates and news about your Club. This hotel is the closest Marriott to the Kennedy Space Center, 20 minutes north of Port Canaveral. The hotel features a free hot breakfast buffet and free high-speed wireless Internet. Pet-friendly (with fee) on ground-floor. Well-equipped business center, exercise room, outdoor heated pool, 24-hour Market, interior corridors, elevators. Rooms have refrigerators, microwaves and 32″ flat screen TVs. We will meet in the Fairfield parking lot at 10:00 am and will depart no later than 10:30 a.m. for the Kennedy Space Center. We are negotiating free parking (normally $10 per car) for our group, so it would pay to caravan to the Space Center together. Tickets for the Space Center will be purchased on site, $50 per adult ($40 children). We can spend the rest of the day touring the many exhibits, including the Atlantis Space Shuttle. Admission includes: • FREE 2-day admission to Astronaut Hall of Fame® (if used within seven days) , 670 Dave Nesbit Dr., Cape Canveral, FL 32920. For only $4 admission, we can enjoy this 7 story attraction full of exhibits and interactive displays – the observation decks and towers provide a 360 degree view of the Port and cruise ships, the Kennedy Space Center and even Cocoa Beach.By noon, everyone should be able to hit the road for the return trip home. This should be a fun event, giving all Z enthusiasts a chance to socialize and enjoy the fabulous East Coast. Our club member and host, Mike Panopoulous, promises sunny weather! A special thanks to Mike for helping us put together this AWESOME event! About 20 Z Fans (and a Sheltie) spent the day under a shady tree enjoying some great music, good food, and beautiful weather.
