STUDY BUDDIES ON WHEELS, INC., Aventura

Grey Smoley is attending University School in the ninth grade and is currently enrolled in Honors Math, English, Science, Spanish and Social Studies, and is maintaining an A average in all of his classes. Grey’s favorite subjects are Math and Science. In addition to his academic studies, Grey has participated on the Middle School baseball team beginning in sixth grade, continuously through eighth grade, where he plays centerfield. Participating on a school team requires a great deal of dedication because there is practice every day after school and many games require the team to leave school early to travel, necessitating team members to work harder to make up missed classwork and to stay up to date with their academic requirements. In his spare time, Grey enjoys deep-sea fishing and has caught a number of world-class trophy fish, one of which he has mounted on his bedroom wall. Grey has also pursued the art of filmmaking since the age of five and has taught himself the professional editing tools used today in professional movie making. Among some of his credits are a documentary about “Be More Heroic”, and an advertisement for University School’s Main Event. Grey believes making feature films and documentaries is what he wants to do for his career. He wants to tell the stories of how special people did something extraordinary to help others, which is the germination for the idea of Study Buddies. Grey, along with his two good friends and co-founders, Samantha Feder-Trosclair and Alex Feder-Trosclair, came up with the idea of helping others in the best way they could, with their academic skills, and Study Buddies On Wheels was born. Born in San Diego California, I have a twin sister named Samantha.  I have lived in various states and attended school in several different schools.  Having lived in California and New York, I have experienced city life as compared to more rural areas.  Currently, I am in 9th grade at Nova Southeastern’s University School.  I am in all honors classes as well as the advanced track in mathematics.  I have studied Algebra and Geometry and feel comfortable tutoring most levels of math in elementary and middle school.  In addition, I am an avid fisherman.  Deep-sea fishing is my love and I often go out every weekend fishing for various types of fish.  I have been an honor roll student for all of elementary and middle schools and am a member of the National Junior Honor Society as well as the National Junior Art Honor Society.  In addition to fishing, I love all outdoor sports and activities.  I have accomplished many community service activities and look forward to assisting students who need tutoring help.   Grey Smoley is attending University School in the ninth grade and is currently enrolled in Honors Math, English, Science, Spanish and Social Studies, and is maintaining an A average in all of his classes. The best way to do this is to boost the youth’s collective GPA through constant and effective study methods. We are aiming to provide such methods through an innovative service called Study Buddies on Wheels. We strive to give the help that is needed in certain academic areas such as English, science, and math. In the overwhelming pressure of a classroom the average student may not be able to unlock their full potential and having a little help along the way is exactly what is needed to help them find the key. In doing so we are helping to enhance young brains in the hopes that brighter, more aware minds will be sent out into the world.
