Sarah is originally from upstate NY, and is Polish-American. She has lived in Warsaw since 2008 while completing her PhD at the Graduate School for Social Research. She began as a study abroad student herself, coming to Poland after she graduated from Ithaca College, and has since completed her MA in Sociology through Lancaster University. She has always been passionate about promoting the value and importance of studying abroad, an experience that can provide a space to learn about different cultures, but additionally allows students to learn so much about their own perspectives and identities. Karina is from Slovakia and currently lives in Bratislava. She is studying business administration at the City University of Seattle in Bratislava. Before that, she studied abroad at Rollins College in Florida. She looks forward to introducing students to the language and culture of her home country. Her hobbies include playing volleyball and traveling around the world. Roland is a student at the University of Wroclaw, majoring in Journalism and Philosophy. He speaks fluent Polish, Italian, and English. He has extensive experience working with international students at the University of Wroclaw in a similar position, and he knows the city inside and out. He is an expert on living in Wroclaw! Mikhail is originally from Kiev and is a native speaker of both Russian and Ukrainian. He graduated from Donetsk National University with a degree in International Relations and became a certified state interpreter. He worked for many years in business, and in 2008 he started his own Russian/Ukrainian language school so that he can help foreigners learn about Ukraine. Ethan is from Port Washington, New York. He is currently a sophomore at the University of Rochester studying business with a marketing focus. His hobbies include playing baseball, reading and traveling.
