Free economy air or business class upgrade from $199 each way Storybook Cruises LLC is an independently owned and operated franchise of Cruise Planners, Inc.  The company was founded in May 2002 by Pete & Nancy Peterson and was located in Ashburn, VA, which is a suburb of Washington, DC just north of Dulles International Airport until 2015, at which time they relocated to Cape Coral, FL.  Pete is extremely proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy.  He is Vietnam veteran, who served on River Patrol Boats in the Mekong Delta in 1970-71 and was awared the Navy Commendation Medal with bronze 'V' for Valor in combat.  He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the Vietnam Veterans Association (VVA), and the PBR Forces Veterans Association (PBR-FVA).  He was also an ice hockey referee with USA Hockey for 32 years and officiated more than 8500 games doing youth, junior, senior and college hockey.  He also officiated for 2 years in the Western Professional Hockey League.   In what little spare time he has, he and Nancy enjoy two-wheel crusing!  They love riding their motorcycle to various festivals and events sponsored by charities.  Pete is also an avid golfer and an accomplished scuba diver Nancy was an Executive Administrative Assistant and worked for a large travel agency, but now works full-time on the cruise business.  She is proud to quickly point out that her favorite job is being a mother to their three children (Curt - age 36, Brian - age 32, and Kate - age 30).  All three are accomplished hockey players who have been playing since they were old enough to walk.  Curt played college and junior hockey, and had a try-out with a professional hockey team.  He is currently a manager at a local specialty running shoe store and is in charge of PR Team Sales.  He is working his way up through the officiating ranks and has done national tournaments, college, and worked for 3 years officiating the Southern Professional Hockey League.  In 2008, he married his girlfriend of 7 years, Melissa, who is wonderful and we're so glad to welcome her into the family.  The gave birth to our second grandson, Oliver, on March 11, 2013.  Brian played high school and junior hockey, and was also an official with USA Hockey for several Years.  He is now a ramp agent with United Airlines.  Kate was the first girl to ever try-out and make her high school varsity hockey team, and was recruited by both Penn State and Maryland.  She is currently serving as a Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy.  Until recently, she was stationed in Jacksonville, FL e the romance, fun, excitement, and adventure with others.  So, they established their own company and now take great pride in fulfilling the dreams of their newfound friends.  They have taken 50 cruises on 12 different cruise lines to different parts of the world and have done more than a dozen ship inspections on top of all that, so their cruise experience and knowledge has grown immensely.  They have visited over 110 cities worldwide (not counting the U.S.A., Canada, and Mexico) and have spent more than 12 weeks in Europe touring around by train as well as cruises in the Baltic, Greek Islands, and Asia.  Plus, they have first-hand experience with river cruises in Europe - one of the fastest growing segments for cruisers.  And lastly, they have stayed in or visited many all-inclusive resorts, so they are able to help with land reservations and tours. They have assisted many groups with their arrangements, including weddings, family reunions, and business meetings and have become specialist in handling group travels.
