Every time Marc opened a new facility or helped someone else open one or even talked about self storage he continued to hear over and over again I was going to build a self storage but... But in the end there were only so many hours in a day to help. who was interested in learning more about the self-storage business. Scott is a real estate broker, developer and recognized expert in the Hospitality Industry with over 20 years in Franchise Development. He quickly learned from Marc and other sources that the Self-Storage industry was very similar to the Hospitality industry 50 years ago, where large operators entered large and small markets and began to gain market share over their smaller competitors, which led 50 years later to having over 100 hotel franchises in the US. Soon they became friends and agreeing there was a need for quality self storage facilities to service the demanding public and a system to develop and operate the facilities. After spending hours even days talking about the self storage business they joined their expertise together to provide Storage Authority, the first of its kind Self Storage Franchise System in the United States.
