Through the years she has sought teachers that offer non-traditional views of Oriental Medicine that have expanded her ability to help others. Constance has incorporated therapies based on Meridian Analysis and Meridian Balancing techniques first introduced by Dr Tan into her practice. After realizing the vast number of children and adults who were placed on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications, Dr Fraatz responded by incorporating post graduate study in both acupuncture and herbal medicine to reverse this trend and balance the mind and body naturally. Finally, Dr Constance is passionate about helping those struggling with cancer. She has dedicated a great deal of study through Sloane Kettering Cancer Center to not only understanding the Western diagnostics and treatment of various cancers, but to learn the cutting edge Acupuncture treatments to help those who are going through chemotherapy and radiation. Over the years Dr Fraatz has noticed that a great percentage of her patients viewed Oriental Medicine as a last resort and even so, Oriental Medicine was able to turn their health around significantly! This fact along with years in the educational field, have been a catalyst in her dedication to educate the community about this amazing 3,500 year old medicine! Dr Constance is an enthusiastic and frequent guest lecturer at several area community centers including the Winter Park and Maitland Public Libraries, Jewish Community Centers of Orlando, local YMCA’s as well as support groups like Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Caregivers. She welcomes any and all opportunities to share and exchange knowledge! Additionally, Constance belongs to the non-profit organization of Wellness Professionals whose mission is to educate city, state, corporate and community organizations on the benefits of preventive and drug free medical alternatives. Her mission and vision coalesce in this statement: “The body has a miraculous ability, given the right tools, to heal itself. Natural Medicine, including Oriental Medicine, opens a pathway that is both drug-free and in sync with the body’s innate healing processes. My mission is to help as many people as possible achieve their optimal health so that their long life is truly ageless, vital and exciting!” Dr. M. Rachelle Smith, AP graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine and is a board certified Acupuncture Physician and Clinical Nutritionist in the state of Florida. During her years at FCIM, she had the great opportunity to work with many distinguished Acupuncture Physicians and their specialties. Her skills are a culmination of all the different skills she gained from her mentors including Dr. Tan’s balancing method, Master Tang’s pain protocol, Dr. Yang’s ear acupuncture, and modern pulse examination. Her continuing thirst for knowledge keeps her up to date with the latest and greatest techniques in Alternative Medicine. Currently, she is undergoing training to obtain her ABORM (America Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine) certification so that she may better serve the needs of a growing number of women suffering from infertility. Dr. Smith has treated a variety of ailments including pain, gastrointestinal issues, women’s gynecological issues, pediatrics, addiction/weight loss, anxiety/depression, and colds/infections. She believes that helping her patients not only means treating their ailments and illnesses, but also educating them on proper nutrition and lifestyle to empower their lives and help them take control of their health.
