Please visit the Scholarship page for more information… Our Mission The Stephanie Joseph Memorial Fund was developed in loving memory of Stephanie Joseph who was a highly competitive figure skater and an inspiration to many. Three months away from a journalism degree at the University of Missouri, Stephanie lost her battle to soft tissue sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Stephanie’s friends and family founded SJMF in 2008 with the mission to improve the lives of children and young adults facing difficulties such as hers. We will help people that cannot accomplish a life dream or a goal because of these limitations. Stephanie Joseph grew up with a love for figure skating, but she was an athletic powerhouse in running as well. The Stephanie Joseph Spirit Award was established by Candice Brown-Burek. Candice was Stephanie’s long time figure skating coach.
