About Steel City Sunsets Sharon and Allan Steinbock, owners of Steel City Sunsets since 2015, live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to Steel City Sunsets, Allan owned a manufacturing company for 28 years, while Sharon worked in design. After buying a house on Anna Maria Island in 2014, Sharon and Allan completely fell in love with the area. This island immediately became their personal paradise. They decided to share their love of Anna Maria by getting into the rental business. Sharon and Allan began Steel City Sunsets with one goal in mind – to buy and renovate rental properties in close proximity to the beach to create high end, yet fun and beachy, homes for Anna Maria Island visitors to enjoy. While Allan works tirelessly to completely renovate all aspects of these properties, Sharon uses her decorating skills to transform average buildings into dreamlike homes. Steel City Sunsets has recently completed a thorough renovation of our gorgeous Mermaid’s Purse location.
