St. Augustine Yacht Club, Inc., founded in the Spring of 1978, was recommissioned after its initial decommissioning in 1939. Originally conceptualized during the yacht racing boom of the 1920s in St. Augustine, Florida, it experienced a resurgence with the construction of a new marina in 1978, enabling yachtsmen to reunite and form the club anew. Commencing with 100 charter members, the club held its inaugural event known as 'The Race of the Century.' The following year saw the completion of their clubhouse at Camachee Cove Yacht Basin, which was later enhanced by a swimming pool in 1982. The club operates under Florida registration, holding the filing number 742270 as a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation (DOMNP) and is located in St. Augustine's scenic locale. It was officially incorporated on April 3, 1978, maintaining its business address at 442 Ocean Vista Avenue, St. Augustine, FL.
