Spirit of the Gulf, Inc., established on October 24, 2001, is a Florida-based membership organization located at 1238 Medinah Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919. As an award-winning women's a cappella chorus, Spirit of the Gulf boasts over 100 members from diverse backgrounds across all age groups and regions of Florida, including many seasonal members from northern states. The chorus excels in musical excellence, education, and promoting harmony singing throughout Florida. Proudly, they have been recognized as Most Entertaining Chorus at three International competitions held in Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Denver. Spirit of the Gulf continues to qualify for significant events, most recently for an upcoming International competition in St. Louis, Missouri, in October 2028. Between these competitions, the group actively performs within their local community. In addition to their group performances, many members form vocal quartets that are integral to the chorus's dynamic offerings and pride. The organization is guided by leaders including Janet Kamrad (Director), V. Moran (Director), and Lisa Smith (President).
