Michelle prides herself in the use of play therapy to target all speech and language goals. She not only improves her client’s speech and language, but focuses on educating families on the appropriate ways for language development; as well as, how to generalize skills learned in therapy sessions. She has a great understanding that in order for a client to be successful and reach their true potential it requires a “team” approach. Over the years Michelle has seen many successes when the client’s family, care takers, and teachers are involved in helping the client reach his/her goals. Welcome to Speech Therapy of Jacksonville! The owner, Michelle Connolly, of Speech Therapy of Jacksonville has resided in the Jacksonville area for over a year working as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings. Her practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of speech and language disorders including early childhood development (teaching parents how to talk, read and play to improve language), advising parents on the best toys and games for language development, language delays and disorders, delayed literacy skills, and articulation delays and phonological disorders to the pre-k and school aged populations. Michelle prides herself with her continuing education and understanding how critical it is to be up to date with the latest treatment strategies and evidence based practices.
