Our philosophy is that every loan request is unique and therefore we do not publish a generic rate sheet or product matrix. Every loan application is treated as a one of a kind transaction and is individually analyzed by our underwriting staff for portfolio compatibility. Although we do offer traditional ARM products (1/1 ARM, 3/1 ARM, 5/1 ARM, 7/1 ARM) we excel at the speed in which we approve and deliver the loan commitment. There is no broker approval process required to submit loan files to Spectrum Mortgage. We specialize at making loans from $150K up to $15M throughout South Florida. We finance residential and commercial properties and will consider any deal that makes sense. Private Equity loans are considered state wide from $100K to $15M on any type of real estate including owner occupied homes being used for a business or investment purpose. Robert Gutlohn is the Founder and President of Spectrum Mortgage Group, Inc. The company was started in 1991 as a specialty wholesale loan origination firm utilized as a marketing platform for local community banks that Robert has affiliations with. SMG has originated and closed in excess of one billion dollars in loan volume since its formation. Robert serves as a founding director of Biscayne Bank and sits on its Compliance Committee and chairs it’s ALCO committee. Milvia Castellano, Senior Vice President has been with the company for over 23 years. Milvia oversees all aspects of the daily loan operation and acts as the primary liaison between the companies wholesale brokers and our bank. Ellen Gutlohn, Office Administrator has been with the company since 1991. Ellen is a licensed loan originator. Lauren Gutlohn, Marketing and Social Media Coordinator has been with the company since 2012 and is responsible for all digital content. I would highly recommend Bob for any out of the box lending. His knowledge of the business is second to none. He works with you to find a way to do the deal not to deny it. He is very detailed and an excellent Manager. I have never seen anything like it. $4.9M private equity cash out refinance originated and closed in three business days. I have known Milvia for over 6 years when we met at a trade show. Milvia is a very kind and true professional. I remember one time I had several loans all brought to her office without an appointment and she was able to still see me and my business partner at the time, since we were already in the area. She explained the scenarios and their guidelines and what we needed to get the fast approval. To become an approved broker with Spectrum you only need to provide your current NMLS # and proof of good standing, that’s it.  Commercial loan originators do not need to be licensed to conduct business with us. Typical underwriting takes five business days.  Loans over $1.0M need to go to loan committee which meets weekly. Yes. We will also provide a quote to use and approved closing agent of the bank. The banks attorney will always produce the closing documents and review title. We will consider any residential (business purpose only) or commercial loans.
