SparKyL Entertainment, Inc. was formed by Kyona Levine Farmer in January 2010. Its goal is to produce faith-inspired plays, films, & literary works. Its vision is to breathe life, laughter, and hope into the hearts of people through stellar art. SparKyL Entertainment Inc.’s production of Sweet Evalina at the Inglewood Playhouse at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater set this vision in motion. Originally from Orlando, Florida, Kyona Levine completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Florida and a minor in Theater. She went on to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Dramatic Writing, while studying acting at the Harlem Theater Company and the New York School of Film & Television. Kyona moved to Los Angeles, CA and studied acting with many coaches including Art Evans, Ivana Chubbuck, Tasha Smith, and Dennis Neal. She has performed in numerous plays and independent films and wrote several original projects. She co-starred in Layon Gray’s NAACP Theatre Award-winning play, which made its premiere at the Inglewood Playhouse in Los Angeles, CA. Kyona relocated to Orlando, Florida and started her own production company, SparKyL Entertainment, Inc. She has produced and directed many shows in the Central Florida area, including several of her own original projects. She has been an editor, writer, ghostwriter, and for plays, books, ebooks, and online newsletters. SPARKYL ENTERTAINMENT, INC. ACTING WORKSHOP will focus on character development. Students will work on writing detailed character backgrounds, finding character arcs, and making strong character choices. Registered students will receive an invitation to a Dropbox account where the documents for the class will be filed. Students will be required to choose a monologue and scene from a film or play script. Students should wear comfortable clothing and bring a notebook and pencil to class.
