Dr. Mair is passionate about educating his patients and the community about the benefits of chiropractic care. He educates his patients on a broad range of wellness topics, including natural healthcare, nutrition, fitness, and injury prevention. His mission is to expand the knowledge of the true meaning of health and wellness. Mario’s greatest passions are his family and medicine, especially Orthopedics. He and his wife have been building a solid home for more than 20 years, where they raise and educate their two lovely children: Leslie and Mario, Jr. During their free time, the family enjoys time together, doing anything from biking in a park to simply watching a good movie. Dr. Ellis Okyle is a physical therapist with 12 years of experience treating patients throughout South Florida. After completing his undergraduate degree at The George Washington University, Ellis went on to achieve a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at The University of Miami. He began his career in 2006 at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Throughout his 4+ years at Jackson, Ellis successfully treated patients with a variety of maladies ranging from stroke and traumatic brain injury to gunshot wounds and more. From there, he went on to work with other health care organizations where he provided the same high level of patient care across the spectrum — from professional athletes rehabbing for the upcoming season to geriatric patients recovering from spinal surgery. Although the injuries or ailments may vary, Ellis’s view of effective PT is consistent. He believes in a whole body approach to rehabilitation and focuses on increasing function while simultaneously decreasing pain. Ellis’s passion for rehab and wellness began at a young age. His sister required physical therapy throughout childhood, and Ellis would often accompany her to therapy sessions. There, he was able to see the benefits of therapy firsthand. Furthermore, during his multi-sport varsity athletic career in high school, Ellis spent many afternoons in the trainer’s room attempting to heal from whatever his latest injury was. It was during one of those sessions in the training room when he had a realization: he could work in a field that he found interesting, while helping people at the same time! Where as some specialists will give an injection of a steroid, we use viscosupplementation – a fancy word for a product that cushions, lubricates and protects worn out joints. Some specialists will do injections ‘blindly’ which means they just feel for the injection site. We use state of the art equipment in order to see that the product is being delivered precisely under video fluoroscopy for better results.
