Who we are? South Beach Brewing Company is not your average brewpub, nor do we serve your average beer. Come visit us to find out why. If your expectations aren’t met, we’re two blocks away from the beach so jump in the ocean and cool off. But before you do, please provide us with your feedback as without you, there is no us and our goal is to please you! If you pretend to be somebody you’re not, eventually you’ll get caught. So we’re going to tell you with 100% accuracy, who we are: We are in the service business. Our goal is to help you create amazing memories. We love making beers that taste great and are easy to drink. We are patriotic and love the USA. We love our armed forces, veterans, the police and fire department and all EMT volunteers. That’s why we provide these people with a free beer when they visit our brewpub. All they need to do is show us credentials. We believe natural is better and it’s important that businesses support their local communities and American farmers. For this reason, we’ve added Florida Orange Juice to many of our recipes. We are a brewpub, we are not a brewery. However, we develop our own recipes and these formulas are then brewed in our partner’s amazing Florida brewery. We have launched this way because we like to put our toes in the water before we jump in. It is our intention to build our own brewery when demand warrants it. As refreshing as it is tasty. Trey loves doing dinner cruises via boat and heading over to the islands for Marlin fishing. A fierce competitor in all aspects of life and sports. After picking up a set of golf clubs for the first time a couple of years ago, you can now find him playing against other co-founder Lorenzo Borghese when they find the time. Trey’s number of strokes is always up for question. Fred is the founder and president of Shipyard Brewing Company, the largest brewery in Maine and a national leader in the craft brew industry. He also owns the award-winning Sea Dog Brewing Company, Capt’n Eli’s Soda, Federal Jack’s Restaurant and Brew Pub, Regatta Event Center, Shipyard Brew Pub, The Inn on Peaks Island, and the real estate company Harborview Properties. Fred joined South Beach Brewing Company in January of 2017 and splits his time between Florida and Maine. Fred is our brewery expert as we like to learn from the best. Karl led the development of the Max’s Grille (2 locations), Prezzo (4 locations) and Max’s Coffee Shop (2 locations) brands as Director of Operations. During that time he also was responsible for the celebrated restoration and reopening of the iconic Hotel Astor and Max’s South Beach, Miami Beach. With leadership skills and professional acumen established and honed in his years at URC, he found success as the owner of the highly regarded Gigi’s Oyster Bar Tavern & Cafe, Moquila Tequila Bar and Big City Tavern, Boca Raton, Digs at the Gulfstream Hotel, Palm Beach, The Falcon House, Delray Beach and Dos Rios Cantina, Des Moines. Karl is our restaurant expert. Although much of his cost analysis are done on napkins, this guy knows restaurants and how to provide quality food and quality service. Better known in the art world as Lebo, is one of Miami’s most famous artists. He is recognized for working in a wide spectrum of creative mediums including murals, paintings and sculptures. Lebo is the innovator of Postmodern Cartoon Expressionism – a combination of cartoon imagery, richly saturated balances of color and unique linear composition brought together in a narrative style to inspire emotion and create layers of meaning. Lebo is our branding guru. From our logo, to our taps, labels and cans, his art is in everything we sell. Since crafting beer is an art form we decided that what holds our art, should also be art in itself. You may notice the words, “I Love Right Now” on our packaging and on our merchandise. Because these words are so important to our brand, I’ve decided to share the story of why we chose them as our Company motto. Meet our Family. People have asked us why not just open our own brewery in South Beach and our answer is simple. We wanted to partner and learn from one of the best in the industry and that’s why we partnered with Fred Forsley, Founder of both Shipyard and Sea Dog Brewing Companies and one of the last large micro-brewery companies which is still independent. It is our intention to soon open our own brewery with the knowledge we gain from working with Fred and the feedback we get from customers based on the beers we brew in our brewpub. In the meantime, we’d love to get your feedback on the small batches we brew in our brewpub which is scheduled to open this fall. Updates will be provided shortly. Our current beer offerings have been carefully crafted with the assistance of our incredible brewer, Bobby Baker, head brewer of Sea Dog Brewing Company in Clearwater, FL. Our beers are not only brewing in the Sunshine State, but each one contains either 100% Organic Orange Juice or Peach Juice as well as our Proprietary electrolyte, Coconuelite.
