How Sona Photography came to be and what you can expect. Mona and Stephana started working together in 2006 when Stephana came on board as a second shooter for Novel Photography, Mona’s former studio. Stephana started her own studio, Bella Luce Photography in 2008, but continued to second shoot with Mona. In 2011 they merged their talents and their businesses to create Sona Photography. 2018 marks the first year that the company will operate locally out of two states: Florida and Virginia. As the business continues to grow and appeal to more distant audiences, Mona and Stephana look forward to traveling wherever their clients are planning special life events that need capturing. Sona Photography owners Mona Chaudhry and Stephana Ferrell Sona is an Indian name meaning “gold,” and there is no better way to describe the caliber of our work. It also combines Stephana and Mona into one name. So, while there isn’t an actual person named Sona on our team (yet), we are both “Sona.” We are as dedicated to you as we are to our passion for photography and pride ourselves on our service. For this reason, we limit our weddings to two a month to ensure we can give you our attention. “Sona photography goes above and beyond just a wedding photographer.
