Vice President, Technology & Product Development Matt Clark joined Smiths Detection in 2003, being appointed Vice President, Technology & Product Development in November 2017. He has extensive experience in technology and product development, and project management. Prior to joining Smiths Detection, Matt had a 7 year career in the Australian Navy as an Electronics Engineer. Diana Houghton joined Smiths Detection in 2013, currently serving as Vice President Strategy & Communication. She is a corporate development and strategy specialist with extensive corporate finance expertise. She spent six years as the corporate development director of Allied Domecq and has worked as a consultant to investment banks and private equity houses. Henrik Akerson joined Smiths Detection in August 2016 as Vice President of Global Operations. Immediately prior to joining Detection, he worked at Gardner Denver Inc.as operations director for the EMEA region. Previously he worked for IMI plc and held a number of roles spanning operations and business development. She had previously worked at Thales where she held a number of senior HR roles, most recently as Vice President of Human Resources for their UK business. Adam Ramsay was appointed Divisional General Counsel in May 2015. Before that he had been General Counsel at Edwards Group, a NASDAQ-listed semiconductor manufacturer. Adam has held senior in-house roles in a number of public and private equity owned businesses in a variety of sectors including oil and gas, engineering and outsourcing.
