Hollie has always had a strong interest in dentistry – especially in helping people obtain beautiful, healthy smiles, aided by modern technologies. She earned her dental hygiene degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville. Her genuine concern and care has helped keep many a patient calm and comfortable. Vicki has been a part of our practice ever since she completed her degree in dental hygiene and is an active member of the River City Hygiene Club. She’s known some of her patients since her very first day in our office, and she loves the relationships they have built over the years. Her favorite part of the job? Meeting an apprehensive new patient and making them feel so comfortable, they’re actually enjoying their visit by the end of it! Robin has been a practicing dental hygienist since the 1980s and loves her job just as much today as when she started. It allows her to meet many interesting people and gives her the opportunity to help them not only with their oral health but their overall health, too. Jacksonville native Patricia is our office manager. She’s committed to making sure that your dental needs are met in a relaxing, friendly atmosphere. She has a passion for wellness dentistry and has learned through the years just how truly connected the teeth are to overall help. She owes this to her mentor Dr. Stephen Hwang, who also mentored Dr. Shields. At Smiles by Shields, we aim to make your dental experience enjoyable and comfortable.
