Dr. Brito finds pleasure in spending time with his close friends and family. He loves to travel and learn about the different cultures of the world. He appreciates what he has in his life and wants to spend every moment making the most of it. Dr. Raymond Santa-Cruz is a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami Lakes. He received his undergraduate education at the United States Naval Academy, earning a BS in Systems Engineering. Upon graduation from Annapolis, Dr. Santa-Cruz completed flight school and earned his wings as a Naval Flight Officer. After almost a decade of honorable military service and several overseas deployments, he resigned his active duty commission and enrolled at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. In dental school, Dr. Santa-Cruz won several academic awards, was elected an Ethics Committee member by his peers, and served as president of a Student Dental Association. Upon graduation, he moved back to his home state and began his practice of General Dentistry in the Tampa area. Dr. Santa-Cruz continues to serve his nation as a Commander in the United States Naval Reserves Dental Corps, while continually seeking to improve himself by taking as much Continuing Dental Education as possible. He enjoys competing in triathlons, volunteering in the community, and spending time with his wife Christina and their son, Reeves. Due to his training in Oral Radiology, Dr. Ali has become an expert in diagnosis and comprehensive treatment planning. At the same time, he has gained extensive experience in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as implant placement and restoration. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Florida Dental Association and the International Team for Implantology. He strives on constantly staying up to date with the newest developments to provide the best service and care to his patients. Due to his double training in both Egypt and the United States in addition to the fourteen plus years of experience, Dr. Riad has become an expert in diagnosis and comprehensive treatment planning. At the same time, he has gained extensive experience in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as implant restoration. He strives on constantly staying up to date with the newest developments to provide the best service and care to his patients, his passion is to make sure his patients understands their needs well and to communicate with them personally. He also finds Root canal treatment fascinating and enjoys helping out patients in need. Dr. Nishita Patel is a general dentist but exceptional in ways that are very important to today’s patients. (1) She spends time getting to know her patients and understanding their health histories and oral health concerns. (2) She spends time explaining why conditions of the mouth have developed and how comfort, health, function, and beauty can be restored. (3) When her patient fully understands the WHY of treatment, she collaborates with the patient to develop a personal treatment plan that takes into consideration the patient’s preferences. (4) As with all Smile Design Dentistry dentists, she strives to make oral health care affordable and will do everything she can to help you meet your smile objectives. Dr. Patel is originally from Gujarat, India where she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) After two years of clinical practice in India, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with honors from SUNY University at Buffalo, New York. After nine years of diagnosing and treating patients, her passion for dentistry and helping others has grown. Dr. Patel is a firm believer in preventive and conservative dentistry and works closely with her patients to develop a dental care plan to increase the longevity of her patient’s teeth. She loves the attention to detail required in dentistry and its mix of aesthetics and function. Her goal is to get her patients out of pain and have a healthy smile. “Developing relationships with my patients and getting know them is important to me,” says Dr. Patel. “I care a great deal more about my patients than their teeth. I genuinely care about my patients as whole and unique individuals.” Having trained both in the Dominican Republic and in the U.S.A, Dr. Taveras has been providing dental care in both the local and international communities.
